FC Porto goalkeeper Iker Casillas, reportedly suffered a heart attack at the club’s training ground on Wednesday. He was taken to the hospital and now in stable condition.
A statement from the club read, “Iker Casillas suffered an acute myocardial infarction during the morning’s training on Wednesday, held at the Porto Gaia Training and sports Formation Center in Olival. The work session was promptly interrupted to assist the goalkeeper of FC Porto, who is currently at CUF Porto Hospital. Casillas is fine, stable and with the heart problem solved.
Meanwhile the footballing community have taken to their social media accounts to wish the 37 year-old speedy recovery following the shocking news.
