One of Africa’s most celebrated actresses, Omotola Jalde-Ekeinde turned 40 on the 7th of February and and as expected, the shindig attracted some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry in Nigeria.

The 5-day festivity which was themed Omotola 4 point 0, kicked off with the ‘Give And Let Give To Widows and Orphans’ event on February 7. It was followed by Couples Retreat themed “Reciprocate, Respect, Mental Health And Avoiding Slavery In Marriage” at the Ember Creek, Landmark Towers, Victoria Island, Lagos. It was facilitated by the likes of Lanre Olushola, Darey Art Alade, Mrs Nimi Akinkugbe, Captain Matthew Ekeinde and the celebrant, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde.

 

 

Next was the ”Renaissance Trip To Trace The Beginning Of Slavery” on February 9, 2018 and then a symposium on “Mental Slavery And The Emancipation Of The Black Race” on Saturday, February 10, 2018. The celebrations reached a climax with the ‘The Omosexy Grand Ball’ held at the Landmark Event Centre, Lagos on Sunday February 11, 2018.

The made a grand entry into the venue in the company of her doting husband, Captain Matthew Ekeinde. Guests were treated to mind-blowing performances by D’Banj, Sir Shina Peters and King Sunny Ade.



The event which was anchored by comedians, Tee-A and Bovi had in attendance business moguls Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Mr. Tony Elumelu. Others include  The Esama of Benin Kingdom, Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, The Otunba Adekunle Ojora,The Erelu Ojuolape Ojora, Senator Ben Murray Bruce, Bashorun Dele Momodu, British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Paul Arkwright, Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Sustainable Development Goals, Adejoke Orelope Adefulire, Otunba Oyewole Fasawe, Tiwa Savage, Funke Akindele, Omawumi, 2face and Annie Idibia, Kunle Afolayan, Omoni Oboli, Layole Oyatogun, Waje, Rita Dominic Debola Williams among others.
