Manchester
City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho’s strike at the 42nd minute of the World Cup
Qualifier involving Super Eagles and Zambia on Sunday afternoon saw him break
the record for goals in consecutive games. The 20 year-old found the net for
the fourth straight game in the Super Eagles 2-1, beating records set by Rashidi
Yekini and Samson Siasia, who both scored in three consecutive matches for the
Super Eagles.

The CAF Most Promising Talent Of The Year registered his name in the score sheets during his first two games
for Nigeria,  1-0 win over Mali in May,
as well as against Luxembourg, Tanzania and Zambia.

While Yekini netted scored in three consecutive games at the 1990 African
Nations Cup, against Egypt, Ivory Coast and Zambia, former Eagles coach Siasia scored
against Benin Republic in an AFCON qualifier in 1991 as well as against Burkina
Faso and Senegal.
