Can’t people support the game without resorting to violence? A legion of irate fans viciously attacked a match official in the Democratic Republic of Congo during the play-off match between DCMP and Dauphin Noir at the weekend. You can tell the match results wasn’t in their club’s favour.
 The referee initially attempted to flee but was caught up by the rioters who gave him so much beating that he had to be stretchered out of the field under the protection of the police who arrived late. They also ripped out seats in the stadium and smashed on the field and windows at the arena’s main entrance broken.
