Former Nigeria captain, Daniel Amokachi has been named the new coach of Finnish second division side JS Hercules. ‘The bull’ as fondly called penned a one year deal to manage the club in the upcoming Division Two season. He becomes the second ex Super Eagles player after Ladi Babalola who coached Hercules in the 2012/13 season, to take the role.

Hercules chairman, Juho Syrjä, affirmed. “We are proud to work with him, as even in Finland Amokachi is well-known. He will bring new insight to our team because he saw it all during his career,”
Speaking on his appointment, the ex Nigerian player who represented Nigeria at the 1994 and 1998 World Cups said, “It is certainly an adventure and a big change for me. I take this as a great challenge. The team is young and passionate. I’m looking forward to working with them.”
