Lawyer/Blogger, Moji Delano narrates ordeal with Gtbank.

Lawyer cum Blogger, Moji Delano of Mojidelano.com has narrated her shocking ordeal in the hands of top Nigerian bank, Guaranty Trust Bank. Find her report below. How Guarantee Trust Bank-GTB Deprived Me Of My Hard Earned Money And REFUSED To Refund Me Before the 31st day of October 2014, Guarantee Trust Bank-GTB could do no wrong in my eyes. I prided them as being one of the most customer friendly banks who pay attention to detail and customer satisfaction, though many people I know argued otherwise. My friends argued that GTB has become very comfortable because of their large customer base, and have now taken a lot for granted. I always defended my ‘favourite’ bank because I truly believed that GT was indeed a fantastic and customer friendly bank. But alas, I was wrong. Very wrong. My bitter personal experience with the bank is what I want to address in this post and also send a clear message to the bank that it WILL NEVER BE OK, to take any customer regardless of who they are  for granted. On the 31st of October 2014, around 11pm to be precise I tried pay for an    Aero Contractors Ticket. I have always chosen to pay through GT PAY via the GT online platform because I trusted that if I had any issues during the process, my money will be refunded,...

These Househelps | By: Praise Fowowe

We could have avoided the pains we have subjected our children to over the years if we had been more sensitive to these house help issues. I got a call from a friend a month ago who told me of how her house-helps tested positive to HIV while another one shared a story of how she discovered that the mechanics in front of their building have been sleeping with her house-help in her house. I was privileged to interview a house-help for a client about a year ago and I asked her a simple question ‘How do you handle a child that has been crying for 30minutes and is inconsolable’ I wasn’t shocked at her response because I know quite well that many of them see your child as a distraction to what they want to do. She responded innocently ‘I will go chemist and buy sleeping tablet and go give am take after which the pikin go sleep’ . I often wonder why we don’t send our children to a village school or allow illiterates to teach them? If we can take a good decision on the school they should go and the country they should go for summer how come we can’t decide on who should groom our children? I am not sure you know of the numerous cases of child sexual abuse involving house-helps and children. Do I...
