Light-skinned Yoruba actress, Liz Anjorin who recently changed her religion (from Christianity to Islam) has opened up on the matter. By birth, I was half Muslim and half Christian. My father was Christian while my mum was Muslim. Growing up I went to church because of my father. I didn't have a choice at the time but I have always had interest in Islam so immediately my father died I switched over to my mum's religion. It is a religion I love so much. HAS GEORGINA ONUOHA REALLY DUMPED ACTING?

I can't remember the last time I saw her in movies but it's really been long. I miss the trio of Georgina Onuoha, Victoria Inyama and Regina Askia who took a break from acting after they got married. They were more popular in the late 90s/early 20s and played interesting roles in movies. The news making rounds is that Georgina who relocated to the US shortly after giving birth in 2007 has bade acting goodbye. The light-skinned actress is now (reportedly) a Health Information Specialist at the North American Healthcare Inc. But does this mean she won't be handling scripts no more? Miss her...

HOW SWEET! C RONALDO RESPONDS TO SEPP BLATTER’S ‘HAIRSTYLE’ COMMENTS

A mature response! The idea of comparing Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona playmaker, Lionel Messi is not new, infact so many sports pundits/legends and even fans have at one point or the other expressed their opinions about the world best footballers. It subsists till today. The other time it was Jose Mourinho lashing out at the Portuguese, the baton is now with FIFA president, Sepp Blatter. The latter described the Portuguese in a video as a commander on the field, and again while speaking at Oxford University last week, Blatter said he preferred Lionel Messi to Ronaldo because the ex-Manchester United player spends more money on his hairstyle than the Argentine. Responding to Blatter's comment on his facebook page, Ronaldo wrote, "This video shows clearly the respect and consideration that FIFA has for me, for my club and my country. Much is explained now. I wish Mr. Blatter health and a long life, with the certainty that he will continue to witness, as he deserves, the successes of his favourite teams and players." Blatter after getting reports/letters from Real Madrid and the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) defended his statements, "In response to a question about Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, the moderator asked me to choose between one of the two and, in this moment having commented that Messi is the type of son all mothers would...

MERCY JOHNSON HOPES HER HUSBAND DOESN’T SEE THESE PHOTOS

I’ve read series of negative comments on these photographs and I’ve been asking, why have people not come to terms with the fact that Mercy Johnson is a daring and really talented actress. Her acting range is quite expansive, she’s carried the role of a fighter, a street hawker, a blind girl etc. She saw it (being dragged in the mud) as part of her job and went for it, she wouldn’t have attempted it if she wasn’t up to the task. Besides, we get wowed when we see such scenes in foreign films and big deal if our actors do the same? Albeit, this is going to cost the producer some extra bucks. *winks*. The mother of one tweeted about it “So crazyyyyyyy but fun, “honestly hoping my husband never sees this”lolzzzzz...

BALLON D’OR SHORTLIST FOR WORLD’S BEST PLAYER AND COACH OF THE YEAR 2012/2013 UNVEILED

Another Ballon d’Or shortlist has been drawn up. Trust me, it’s going to be as fierce as ever. Unlike the past editions where few or no Premier League players get nominations, 5 EPL players are included in the 23-man shortlist. The Coach of the year category contains some really prominent names, the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson, Jose Mourinho and Del Bosque are most people’s favourites. The winner will be unveiled on January 13 in Zurich. NOMINEES (1) Gareth Bale (Real Madrid/Wales) (2) Philipp Lahm (Bayern Munich/Germany) (3) Thomas Muller (B Munich/Germany) (4) Manuel Neuer (B Munich/Germany) (5) Bastian Schweinsteiger (B Munich/ Germany) (6) Mesut Ozil (Arsenal/Germany) (7) Robin van Persie (Man United/Netherlands) (8) Arjen Robben (B Munich/Netherlands) (9) Edinson Cavani (PSG/Uruguay) (10) Luis Suarez (Liverpool/Uruguay) (11) Andres Iniesta (Barcelona/Spain) (12) Xavi (Barcelona/Spain) (13) Neymar (Barcelona/Brazil) (14) Thiago Silva (PSG/Brazil) (15) Radamel Falcao (Monaco/Colombia (16) Andrea Pirlo (Juventus/Italy) (17) Frank Ribery (B Munich/France) (18) Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid/Portugal (19) Eden Hazard (Chelsea/Belgium) (20) Zlatan Ibrahimovic (PSG/ Sweden) (21) Robert Lewandowski (Dortmund/ Poland) (22) Lionel Messi (Barcelona/ Argentina) (23) Yaya...

“THEY ARE HIS FIRST MATCHES” ANCELOTTI DEFENDS GARETH BALE

Gareth Bale's lacklustre performance during the just-concluded El Clasico is still making many headlines especially in the spanish press. The ex Tottenham star who hasn't really been impressive since his debut at Bernabeu even scored the lowest mark during a recent rating of both Madrid and Barcelona players conducted by BBC. Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has however defended the £85m summer who played in an unusual position and was replaced like an hour later. " He played well and needs to look for his team-mates' runs. He didn't play badly during that hour. I think they are his first matches and he needs to get used to playing with his team-mates, which is normal. He continued, "It doesn't make much difference for him to play on the right or in the middle. We started like that to put more pressure on Sergio Busquets, but after 20 minutes I changed his position to the wing to give him more...
