The 2012 edition of the prestigious AMAA awards was for the first time held in Lagos, at the Eko Hotel&Suites, Victoria Island Lagos on April 22, 2012. Now in its 8th edition, the famous event which is usually pitched at Bayelsa State assembled dignitaries which are mostly filmmakers (actors and actresses) from different parts of Africa as well as in other countries. The likes of A-list Hollywood stars; Morris Chesnut and Jimmy Jean Louis registered their presence at the annual occasion.
Anchored by Jimmy Jean Louis and fast rising actor, O.C Ukeje, delectable sensational act, Yinka Davies set the ball rolling with an electrifying performance of one of her latest songs. The icing of the cake were the grand and theatrical performances of Nigeria’s music exports; Asa and 2face; the audience could not hold their cool.
